Total Landscape Care (TLC) PROGRAM:
The TLC Program at Epling Landscape and Lawn Service, Inc. is designed to keep your landscape beds looking healthy and vibrant throughout the year. Six steps as explained below are applied beginning early in the year, how early is weather dependent, with the last application in late fall.
Dormant Oil is applied to protect against scale, spidermites, and caterpillars. A balanced spring fertilizer helps to improve the overall health of the plants, while in the spring, a broad-spectrum insecticide protects against beetles, aphids, and scale. A second insecticide protects against bagworms and early fall webworm. Protecting trees and shrubs from fungus caused by high humidity is a fungicide application. In the fall a balanced fertilizer helps to improve the overall health of the plants.
Lawn Care (LC) Program:
In 2014, Tad Wolford from Round Hill, VA, joined Epling Landscaping as the Turf Manager. He re-designed the lawn care program to promote maximum health and growth for residential and commercial lawns. A six-step system beginning in early spring and continuing through late fall was adopted in 2014 and remains in effect in 2015 as the changes have made a noticeable difference as evidences by the positive feedback provided by clients and inquires from potential clients.
In early spring, a pre-emergent crabgrass and a balanced fertilizer is applied. Broad leaf control, insecticide and more balanced fertilizer composed the late spring application. Next a lime application is applied to help balance the pH level. Next in early fall, a balanced fertilizer helps improve the overall health of your lawn. In mid-fall, a balanced fertilizer is applied to promote new growth while the final late fall application is a heavy rate balanced fertilizer to promote spring growth and spot broadleaf weed control.
